Happy 2025!
The new year is on us but the Mosaic Team didn’t slow down.
Some updates and some reminders so please read!
=========================
1. ADT notifications will go to your phone if you are logged into Haiku
Do you use Haiku?
Phone now dings when bed assigned!
I know, pretty cool
===========================
2. .edsexualassault smartphrase improved
As we continue to improve our documentation on these patients, we have included a new optional section (see mustard section at bottom) that has drop down physical exam menus that include what CPT is hoping to capture
Please utilize this as a reminder to do the workup!
=====================================
3. ED Insulin pump orders – are now available and visible within the ED Diabetes orderset
==================================
4. Medical Student notes – the functionality to be able to sign them and get them off your Finish Up Fast and out of your in-basket has now been fixed.
If you are still having difficulties with med student notes please let me know.
===============================
AND NOW SOME REMINDERS OF PAST MESSAGES !!!
5. Procedure notes defaulting in Attending as both performing (supervising the performance) and authorizing (asking it be done)
As stated in prior emails, this is being done intentionally .
These words, which mean one thing in conversation, having billing implications in the medical world. Please do not let the fellow/trainee/APP insert their name as the “performing provider” as the bill will not go through. The fellow/trainee/APP still signs the note, can see what procedures they have done via note-signing, etc.
Do not insert the name of the fellow/trainee/APP as the “performing provider” .
====================================
6. EKG interpretation – please use the ‘interpret’ button and fill out the EKG Procedure note –
The completion of the EKG procedure note drops the bill for our interpretation.
If you free text the interpretation, a bill will not drop.
If Cardiology has already formally read the EKG, the interpret button is not visible. We cannot bill the EKG once read by Cardiology so this isn’t an option.
Of course you should comment on the EKG in your note somewhere, but the bill is generated from the ProcDoc.

Thanks for your continued hard work as we update the system!
Your ASAP team,
AJC, JKC, and MBH
